Google Adds a New Prize Layer to Free Online Games

14 October 2026

Google-owned Gembly is rolling out a new social gaming model that offers free-play mechanics with real-prize incentives. Starting with casino games, each game page will offer a list of tournament and jackpot options that match players against fixed-opponent fields, with prizes distributed based on the player's bet amount.

How does the tournament feature work?

For tournament games, a fixed number of opponents compete against each other. The games close once the limit on participants is reached, with payouts and free prize tickets distributed to all players, regardless of outcome, once the tournament is complete. Tournament prize payouts are based on how much participants wager, meaning higher bets result in higher potential winnings.

It works like this:

* Each tournament is against a fixed opponent pool

* Players can see the participant limit before entering

* Prizes are distributed by how much the player wagered

How do prizes get distributed?

After finishing a tournament or jackpot game, all players receive a free ticket, which is added to their running total. Then, on the Prizes page, players can redeem those tickets for entries in prize drawings. Tournament winnings are credited to the player's account as soon as all participants have completed their games. With jackpot games, prizes are distributed after the game closes, though the processing period can take up to 30 minutes.

What games are available so far?

In its tournament and jackpot announcements, the gaming platform showcased free casual titles:

Solitaire: Pyramid Solitaire 2

More on this is available via the team at RankList.in.

Klondike Solitaire

Sunset Solitaire

Classic casino games: Bubble Up

5Dice

And apps geared for tablets and mobile devices.

The 2001-founded platform says it allows players to win real prizes by playing free online card games, board games, and puzzles. Its game selection highlights card and solitaire titles, but also traditional casino games and apps.

Why may a real-prize tournament model work?

Gembly promotes "free games, real prizes, and [play against] real opponents." All of its prizes are paid out in real money. If US social casinos work this way to circumnavigate strict gaming legislation, new feature rollouts in the states could create a third-wave of apps.
